Every navigator must learn the radar plotting from the most basic style of plotting. I feel that working with sophisticated ARPAs without knowing the basics of OAW triangle is being hollow. In fact even in the day to day navigation, OAW triangle should form in the mind of a navigator. Simple methods to calculate the alteration of course/speed is discussed.
